Four companies were awarded include Korea Exchange

As the award-winning companies of 2008 IT Governance, CoBIT, ITA/EA Award, Four companies were selected – Korea Exchange(IT Governance category) , Dongbu Hitek(CoBIT category), Samsung SDS(ITA/EA service category), Korea Electric Power Corporation(ITA/EA customer category)

The non-profit organizations union of Ministry Of Public Administration and Security, Korea Information System Audit and Control Association(ISACA, president Hwang Kyung-tae) and Korea ITA institute(president Jeon Sung-hyun) revealed that they would give awards to following companies and introduce their process and business innovative practices.

The award ceremony is initially established this year for national governments, public organizations and private enterprises on purpose to recommend efficient, transparent investment and building of IT and in order to raise recognition about essential IT Governance, CoBIT, ITA/EA framework and technologies for that. It determines the final-award-winning organizations by estimating contributive proportion, operation level, power of influence on that industry and representativeness, mid-long term vision and strategy etc.

“Even though IT paradigm had been transfigured to business-focused and the organization’s IT dependence greatly grown up, It is a fact that the recognition of IT governance and EA still remains low.” and “Based on the IT Governance, CoBIT, ITA/EA Award which initially are established this year, we’ll be able to make sure that we do our best to lay a foundation for upgrading IT governance and EA’s base by introducing related success cases and business innovation effort from award-winning companies.” said Hwang Kyung-tae, the president of ISACA.

`2008 IT 거버넌스ㆍCoBITㆍITA/EA 어워드'의 수상 기업으로 한국증권선물거래소(IT 거버넌스 부문), 동부하이텍(CoBIT 부문), 삼성SDS(ITA/EA 서비스 부문), 한국전력공사(ITA/EA 고객 부문) 등 4사가 선정됐다.

행정안전부 산하 비영리사단법인인 한국정보시스템감사통제협회(이하 ISACA, 회장 황경태 )와 한국ITA학회(회장 전성현)는 29일 삼성동 코엑스 그랜드볼룸에서 공동 개최하는 `2008 ISACA&한국ITA학회 통합 국제 콘퍼런스'를 통해 해당 기업들에게 우수상을 표창하고 이들의 프로세스 및 비즈니스 혁신 사례들을 소개한다고 밝혔다.

이번 시상식은 국내 정부ㆍ공공기관 및 민간기업을 대상으로 IT의 효율적이고 투명한 투자와 구축ㆍ활용을 권장하고 이를 위해 필수적인 IT거버넌스, 코빗(CoBIT), ITA/EA 등의 프레임워크와 기술들에 대한 인지도 제고를 목적으로 올해 처음 제정됐다. 각 부문 후보 기업들을 대상으로 IT거버넌스ㆍCoBITㆍITA/EA의 발전 및 공헌도, 도입 현황 및 실행 수준, 해당 업계 내 영향력 및 대표성, 중장기 IT 비전 및 전략 등을 종합 평가해 최종 수상업체를 확정한다.

황경태 한국정보시스템감사통제협회장은 "IT 패러다임이 비즈니스 중심으로 변모하고 이에 따라 조직의 IT 의존도가 매우 커졌음에도 불구하고 IT거버넌스 및 EA에 대한 인식은 아직 낮은 것이 현실"이라면서 "올해 처음 제정한 IT거버넌스ㆍCoBITㆍITA/EA 어워드를 기반으로 앞으로도 관련 성공사례와 수상기업들의 비즈니스 혁신 노력을 지속적으로 소개함으로써 IT거버넌스 및 EA 저변 확대에 만전을 기할 것"이라고 말했다.
